This week, Scylla continued building her obedience foundation through two sessions focused on sit, place, crate work, fetch, and jumping on objects. She is showing encouraging continuity from one session to the next and remains engaged during training.
Scylla
- October 12 — Obedience: Worked on sit, place, crate, and fetch. Scylla remembered behaviors from earlier work and sometimes offered familiar behaviors on her own, suggesting that the exercises are beginning to stick. She did not yet consistently connect the verbal command names to the behaviors, but responded to body movement and gestures. Her high, wagging tail throughout the session reflected good enjoyment of the work.
- October 17 — Obedience: Continued with crate work and fetch, adding jumping on objects. Sit was coming along well. For the other exercises, she continued to respond more reliably to body language than to the verbal command names.
The overall emphasis remains clear communication, repetition, and helping Scylla connect learned behaviors with their spoken cues.
